What is the good word for this January day?

Fellowship   ~   means being in a close communion with others in order to encourage one another.

The word fellowship comes from the Greek word "koinonia" which means "commonality" or "oneness."  As humans, we need to be in fellowship with one another in ways that are encouraging, edifying, and uplifting.  Sharing meals together or even just a cup of coffee can be opportunities for beneficial fellowship.  And the deepest and most meaningful fellowship involves cultivating oneness with others in which we are each drawn closer to each other, yet more especially drawn closer to God.  Only in that context can we truly become one with each other.

Truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.  1 John 1:3 ~ cf. Hebrews 10:24-25     more
